Growing up, Christmas was always a magical time and it always made me think of second chances. Renewed loves, old flames reignited, or even a simple friendship dusted off and reborn.
That’s where I got the inspiration to write Emaline & Tate’s second chance Christmas romance in The Mountain Man’s Christmas Surprise. It was the first mountain man Christmas story I wrote and I couldn’t think of a better way than with a second chance. I added the surprise baby trope to layer on more emotional impact and sure enough, their daughter, Izzy, brought the story to life.
